Google Shopping Express to compete with Amazon

There is no business where Google is not present.And now Google has decided to step in another huge profitable industry- eCommerce.Google is currently working to launch its own eCommerce- Google Shopping Express.This will compete with major eCommerce giants-Amazon Prime.eBay.Google Shopping Express will be $10 cheaper than Amazon Prime at $69 a  year.Google Shopping Express will also offer same day delivery througgoogleh Target, Wallchart, Walgreens and Safeway.

Google Shopping Express is being handled by Tam Fallows who is the eCommerce Project Manager at Google.Google Wallet is already a popular mean to shop online all across the world and Google Wallet and Google shopping will be integrated into Store Shelf which will have some big names like Walmart,Target etc.

Google recently bought Channel Intelligence which will provide all data regarding retailer advertisers,retailer pricing,inventory.And the rumors of Google stepping into eCommerce business are creating a buzz since then.Google also bought BufferBox will ease the shipment of products to customer’s door.

eCommerce is a very profitable business and in US alone,it is worth more than $186 billion.Google doesn’t want to concentrate only on advertising business when there are more profitable things to do.Well,this will be interesting to see how will people respond to Google ‘s own Shopping portal especially when there are already trusted sites Amazon Prime and eBay.This is not going to be easy for Google to compete with these giants.Lets  wait and watch what will happen.What do you think of  this move by Google?
