There is a great race between the top smartphones companies to bring a ideal product in front of their customers so that they can make it happen to get more customers. Now a day ever one wants to buy an smartphone but there are a lot of companies in smartphone market(Samsung, Apple, Blackberry , HTC etc.). They have brought a lot of great products in the market. But if we go through a general scenario you will get that there is not much difference between there hardware. They all come with quad core processors, with a sufficient amount of Ram, A powerful GPU. A big and HD display, A camera with HD recording, A longer battery life.

There might be difference a little difference between their configuration but all are kinda same in means of their configuration. That’s the main reason why customers are always confused while buying a high budget smartphone. So what do they do is, some of them just go with the market flow i.e. buy the most popular phone without keeping their usage in their mind. But some of them compare the software features and then they select which phone to buy.

So hardware is kinda same but software changes from company to company. if you want to attract more customers then you must provide the features that are really helpful,handy in use and will amaze the experience of device usage. Just like Samsung who has came up with amazing features in its recant years. we can see these features in S3, Note, NoteII and Now in S4. They have given amazing features.

if you are an user of smartphone then you can spend your whole day playing with your smartphone. you can surf internet, run applications, games, click photos etc. so while using your phone its experiences must not be good. you should be able to do things without running through a series of menus. Every menu, every setting must be there. or should only a tap away from you.

when we talk about Nokia we can see that on of the biggest reason behind the Nokia’s failure is it Symbian OS. You can not comment on its hardware, because hardware in Nokia smartphones is the best hardware, if we see in past Nokia was on the top of making great phones. but if you buy a phone of worth $600 you will get the same OS that it will provide you in $100 with kinda same setting according to me this was a really big mistake from Nokia.

Now Apple is doing same like Nokia. They should bring some amazing OS features in their iOS devices. on the other hand HTC and Samsung are paying a great attention on their software. in HTC One you can see a default stream feature on the front screen is really amazing and revolutionary thing. you can get each and every update of social media, News etc. on your Home Screen.

Samsung if two steps ahead in its phone features like Dual Shot, Photo With audio etc . On which user can waist their most of the time, Video will be played till you are watching the display when you move your eyes away video will be paused. isn’t it cool.

Conclusion: Now a days users need a smartphone with features on which they can waist most of their times. if you think hardware can make attract customers then you should look in past what happened to Nokia, in coming years if you will provide features like Samsung did in its S4. only then company can survive, otherwise in future you could face a lot problems.

Cloud computing provides data security

Cloud computing is fast becoming a revolution in how data is accessed and stored. In a recent survey it was found that eight out of ten companies utilize some form of cloud computing and that more than half of those are planning to increase their investment in the cloud in 2013. And of smaller companies more than half are using what is known as ‘infrastructure as a service’ (IaaS) using cloud computing for all their needs.

And that’s not surprising. Using the cloud allows a business to slash expenses on equipment and maintenance, allows user access to data from any location, requires less IT skill in-house, and a long list of other advantages.

However, as with any revolutionary movement that’s still in it’s infancy, we’re experiencing a phase of sometimes painful transition. There are still some weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the technology that businesses have to take into consideration before and as they move into the cloud.

Chief among these concerns is security. Data security encompasses more than just worrying whether or not a hacker will gain access to sensitive data. There’s also the concern that data can be lost or damaged. Another recent survey, conducted by the Informations Systems Audit And Control Association (ISACA) of 4,500 IT professionals around the world, showed that fully 69% of respondents in the North American region felt that the risks of cloud computing outweighed the benefits. Others, however, argue that these concerns are overblown. Security issues in the cloud can be successfully managed, and with the proper knowledge and approach, cloud computing can actually increase data security.

This is true for several reasons. First, companies that provide cloud services won’t survive if their services aren’t secure. It’s their number one concern too, and in today’s climate, with widely reported data breaches in the news almost monthly, they’re very sensitive to the issue. So these companies devote a lot of resources to security, and the larger providers have much more to invest than most companies, so for all but the largest companies that can afford the same amount of resources, data is usually more secure in the cloud.

There’s also disaster recovery to consider. Companies have been storing backups of their data offsite for many years. But transportation of physical data storage mediums such as disks and tapes, and the storage facilities they’re kept in have their own hazards. Cloud computing already offers a more secure, and cheaper, option.

Also, most cloud applications are new and the apps that hackers currently try to attack are of the older legacy type, so for the moment a lot of them haven’t made it on the radar yet. That’s not to say that newer apps don’t have vulnerabilities, they do, and it remains to be seen how long this will stay true, but for today it’s definitely a factor in better security.

New technologies are making the cloud more secure. For example, TrendMicro is marketing SecureCloud, an encryption service that automatically encrypts all data going into the cloud. Since a company controls the keys, even the cloud service provider can’t see the data. Other technologies are coming on the scene and this will continue. The more cloud computing evolves the more secure it will become, just like the Internet.

Data Logic recently released a report entitled ‘The State Of Cloud Security’ which compared the incidents of security breaches and attacks on data stored with a provider vs. data stored on premises and demonstrates that companies reported a lower occurrence of every type of attack when data was stored in the cloud.

The truth is that, with the right precautions and proper planning, cloud computing can be a more secure option, and as it evolves that will only become more true.

Create your own video games without any coding

We all love video games.I play video games a lot till now.But I never thought of creating video games because it require a lot of hard work and more importantly it require some really good coding skills.But now we can easily create video games and that also without going into any coding stuff.All you require is some good drawing skills and an iPad or iPhone.

Pixel Press,which is an app available for iOS lets you do that.The project is very much new and is still in infantry stage.First you make a drawing on paper and the app within your iPad or iPhone.You create games for to make your character cross 5 floors.Pixel Press uses proprietary character recognition to allow the iPad’s camera to pick up the sketches and convert them to graphic elements in the level.The maker of the game tests the game and add colors to it.You can add music from the library.All on all,there is some work hard involved but it is still a lot less than learning coding,I guess.

The project is created by Robin Rath and it is still quite raw.The app is still not able to identify poor drawings.But,this thing is something new and it can go viral.The creator is currently collecting some funds for his project via kickstarter and when they will reach their @100k goal.After 6 months of reaching their goal,version 1.0 will be out where players will be able to play and compete against each other.There is still no Android version available of the app but it will be out when the project gains $350k.Robin Rath,the creator has the entire plan for the future of pixel press.You will be controlling all the physics of the game later when they have enough funding and a lot more is going to happen.

It could be a good opportunity for designers to show off their skills or at least try this app out on your iPad or iPhone just for fun.The creator may decide to pay some share to its best designers.But still there is long way to go.The thing is really cool and new.What is your experience with pixel press.

How to get your old Gmail Compose back

Google launched new interface for composing emails sometime back.Now,Google has made it default for all the Gmail users.But the all new Gmail compose has been so welcomed by its users.The new Gmail compose is a compact one with few visible features.When you click on compose,Gmail will pop-up a small window in bottom left of your PC or laptop.When you click on capital A(formatting options) at the bottom of this new compose,you will find all the common options,you used to see in your old Gmail compose.Additionally,there is an option to add attachments from your Gmail drive.But I liked the old interface of Gmail and wanted to get old Gmail compose back.Here is how I did it-

1.Log in with your Gmail username and password.

2.Click on ‘Compose’.

3.A window will popup within your gmail account.You will find a arrow pointing downward at the bottom of your new Gmail compose.Click on this arrow.

4.A menu will come out with 5 options.Click on temporarily switch back to old compose.Google will ask to confirm this.After confirming,your Gmail will reload and you are now on old Gmail compose.

But this is temporary.Google may completely remove its old compose for Gmail at any time.I don’t think the old Gmail compose will be around for even a month from now.Since,the new gmail compose is now default.Google is probably waiting to make people used to the new Gmail compose before removing the older version completely.

As of me,I don’t like the new Gmail compose and don’t want Google to remove the older version completely.The old Gmail compose is a lot easier to use and some gmail users may find the new interface of compose a bit complex. Sony Honami-The next flagship phone from Sony(Rumor)

Just days after the launch of Samsung’s latest flagship device Samsung galaxy S4,Sony is reported to work on its next flagship smartphone which is codenamed-Sony Honami.Sony Honami will be the successor of Sony Xperia Z which was released at the start of this year.The rumors are spreading regarding the specs and camera of Sony Honami and are coming from some Chinese source.The source is said to be an Xperia tester who revealed the info on Baidu.

Going by the specs,Sony Honami will easily be the best smartphone.Here are the rumored specs-

Qual Comm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz
5 inches Full HD screen
20 MP rear camera
2 GB RAM
2700 mAh battery

Google’s upcoming device Motorola X is also said to have the same processor.Though,the processor hasn’t been released yet and likely to be available from October this year.It will be interesting to see which device will be released first with Snapdragon 800 processor.2GB RAM and full HD screen is not some thing extraordinary these days.

The major plus point for Sony Honami will be the camera.Sony smartphones are known to have the best camera and Sony will not disappoint this time also.Sony Honami is said to have a powerful 20 MP camera with 1/1.6″ sensor size.The bigger the sensor size,the better will be the picture quality.Because larger sensors capture more light.Cybershot G lens will be used in Sony Honami which will add to the image quality.Also,Xenon flash will be used in Honami which is 10 times brighter than regular flash.

Sony is rumored to include some of its walkman features into the device.One of these could be audio-amplifier which will provide superior audio quality to Sony Honami.The smartphone will be dust and water resistant like its predecessor.Sources indicate that there will be some design changes.As Sony Xperia Z is a stunning looking gadget,we don’t expect any major change in terms of the looks.Yet some minor tweaks are likely to enhance the looks.

The device is said to be revealed on IFA 2013 later this year.However,this is not so likely.Sony already has Sony Xperia Z which is capable enough to fight against HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 with Apple iPhone 5 is outdated now.Early in 2014 is a possibility as Sony Xperia Z was also launched during that time.Till then just wait for some rumors.

Google to launch Jelly Bean 4.3 before Key Lime Pie

Google is reported to work on Android 4.3.Well,we all were waiting for Android 5.0(Key Lime Pie).This news is sure to upset many android fans who were eagerly waiting to try their hands on Key Lime Pie.The news is coming from Android Police, a very well-known blog for android related news and tips.They have got some server logs which clearly indicates that its Jelly Bean 4.3 and not Key Lime Pie.

You can trick server logs easily but the people at Android Police were able to access and identify the IP addresses which were of Google Campus.So,there is no chance to doubt the rumor.The server logs also show Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 running which is likely to be the next Android version.We have been hearing that Google will be launching Key Lime Pie in Google I/O this year and Motorola X,the mysterious phone from Google will be the first to run on Android 5.0 but with Google I/O in less than a month there is no chance for Key Lime Pie.We might have to wait until the end of this year for Android 5.0.

Motorola X is still likely to be the first Android phone running on Key Lime Pie.Since this device is expected to launch around October or November,we will likely see Key Lime Pie(KLP) around this time.Jelly Bean 4.3 is going to be an updated version of Jelly Bean 4.2.So,there is not going to be any major change.It will be just some tweaking in the older version.Jelly Bean is now more than a year old OS and Android really is in need of a totally redesigned version.
